Featuring built-in PLC-controlled motorized axes, the Rotor Scanner is engineered to measure the full three-component magnetic field distributions (radial, axial and tangential) of permanent magnet rotors from 0 to 500 mm in diameter, curved magnetic surfaces, ring magnets, and ring magnetic assemblies.

ROTOR SCANNER
Measure and analyze magnetic field distributions of permanent magnet rotors and magnet assemblies with Magcam's Rotor Scanner.
ENGINEERED FOR PM ROTORS & CURVED MAGNETIC SURFACES
How does the Rotor Scanner measure PM rotor's magnetic field distributions?
At the heart of the Rotor Scanner, you will find the MiniCube 3D, Magcam's magnetic field camera featuring a patented sensor chip with an integrated 2D Hall sensor array. More than 16000 measurement points are integrated into a MiniCube 3D enabling the scanner to measure magnetic field distributions on the full rotor surface in a few seconds with high axial and angular resolutions at close radial distances.
MagScope, Magcam's powerful analysis software, offers a real-time visualization and analysis solution by deriving important permanent magnet rotor characteristics and generating magnetic field maps in 2D or 3D.
ACCURATE MAGNET POSITIONING FOR HIGH PRECISION MEASUREMENT
The Rotor Scanner uses synchronous servo motors on all axes enabling it to capture all magnetic field details at the closest measurement distance of 0.5 mm. Placing the positioning accuracy of X and Z axes at 24 μm with repeatability of radial and axial axes at 1.3 μm and of the angular axis at 0.2 arc-min. Both repeatabilities are unidirectional.
